Hi. I plan to go to Japan for 3 months minimum and travel around in that time. What is the cheapest option of JR pass? I mean, if you can only buy a 21-day pass at most - do I have to buy 4 x 21-day passes (which will cost a lot of money!)??
Thanks for any advice.

Hi there,
It all depends on when/where and how much you want to travel. I'd look at using a JR Pass tactically, basically when covering longer distances. Then use local options where available.
21-days is the longest period available for the pass, which on a per-day basis, is the most economic option.
Hope this helps ;)
