Hello,

Our vacation starts this Friday. My daughter will be coming up from Miyazaki to Tokyo, and we will be arriving in Tokyo on the same day. My daughter's friend, a national, was concerned about her traveling via rail due to recent earthquake activity. Are all schedules still accurate?

Thank you!

Hi Tracy,

Train schedules are effected today due to the Earthquake that mainly hit the Osaka region. No major damage has been reported yet and unless more earthquake's hit, I expect schedules to operate normally on Friday.

That said, keep an eye on the status of trains via the following websites.

http://english.jr-central.co.jp/ for JR West

http://traininfo.jr-central.co.jp/en/ for JR Central

Kind regards,
Daniel
