Good morning,
I am flying in to Tokyo, but when I leave Tokyo it will be very early on a Monday morning heading towards Omachi and the Alpine Route.
Is it possible to activate the pass earlier say on the Friday and Saturday, ready for use on Monday so I don't have to fuss about?

Hi there,
You can select a first day of use when you activate the JR Pass, this can be up to 30 days later. In other words, you do not have to start using it right away.
