My friend and I will be travelling to Japan on May 26-April 2 via Nagoya as our port of entry and we will explore Osaka (our base for 4 nights), Kobe, Nara, Kyoto. Will it be economical to use the 7 day JR Pass? Can we use the pass going to Osaka?

Dear Loriva,
As it looks now, you would not make savings using a JR Pass. Is it correct that you're traveling one way Nagoya -> Kansai Area (where Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, etc are located)?
It might be better to buy a one-way ticket from Nagoya to Kyoto, then look at using a Kansai Area Pass.
