Question 1: 16 days itinerary in Japan
Will 14 days JR would be wroth it to use from Day 1 to Day 14 itinerary including using multiple JR line to get from temples and places to visit at each city?

Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo vai NRT airport
Day 2: Tokyo to Osaka via Bullet Train
Day 3: Osaka to Kii-Tanabe to trek Kumano
Day 4: Kumano
Day 5: Kuamno
Day 6: Kumano to Osaka (train from Kii-Katsuura to Osaka)
Day 7: Osaka
Day 8: Osaka
Day 9: Osaka to Nara, then Nara to Kyoto
Day 10: Kyoto
Day 11: Kyoto
Day 12: Kyoto
Day 13: Kyoto to Tokyo
Day 14: Tokyo
Day 15: Tokyo
Day 16: Tokyo to NRT airport, Fly home

If it’s not worth it to get 14 days, how much the price difference will be to buy each train ticket for each leg vs. 14 days JR pass? Thank you so much for suggestion and input!

Hi there,

I checked what would cost less and for your trip using normal tickets would be the better option. That said, a 14 day JR Pass could quickly become worth it, with say a side trip or two.

Think about going to Hiroshima for example :)

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you for your input. How much approximately would be cheaper if I buy normal tickets for each route compared to JR pass?
