Hello,

I have a couple of questions about my first trip to Japan!

  1. Im about to order JR pass for 14 days. My question is, once im in Japan and about to exchange the "Exchange Order", are they going to ask me to pay extra for the exchange or the amount i`ll give online is the only one i need to pay?

  2. Also i want to ask if the 14 days pass is the right for me?
I want to visit: Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Nagoya, Tokyo and if i`m lucky Nagasaki.

  3. And third. If i decide to buy the pass once i`m in Japane, is it going to cost more and how long it will take?

Thank you,
Alex

Hi Alex,

1.) There are no additional costs once you have the JR Pass. The price you see on our website is the price you pay.

2.) Yes, a 14 day JR Pass would be the best choice here. Travel to Hiroshima (and especially Nagasaki) is pricey without a JR Pass and you will make very good savings this way. You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.

3.) It depends on the pass but buying in Japan is 10-20% more expensive.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
