Hi Daniel-san

I am planning to visit Japan for the first time and need to order my passes.

I would appreciate it if you can let me know what kind of pass(es) I would need for the below itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival to HND Airport
Day 2: Tokyo (Harajuku and Shinjuku)
Day 3: Day trip to Hakone or Nikko
Day 4: Morning in Akasusa, transfer to Kyoto in the evening
Day 5: Arashiyama
Day 6: Day trip to Nara
Day 7: Kyoto landmark site seeing (Fushimi Inari, Tofukuji, Kinjaju Temple)
Day 8: Day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima
Day 9: Transfer to Takayama
Day 10: Sightseeing in Takayama
Day 11: Day trip to Shirakawago, evening transfer to Tokyo
Day 12, 13: Tokyo sightseeing
Day 14: Departure from HND Airport

If you think any of these trips need to be swapped around, I would be very happy to know!

Hi there,

I recommend using a 14 day Japan Rail Pass, it will cover all your important travel and help you make very good savings on this trip.

I would recommend swapping Takayama Day 10 and Day 11 Shirakawago around. It will be a easier to get to Tokyo coming from Takayama than from Shirakawa-go.

Kind regards,
Daniel
