We are undecided about purchasing a 1 week pass or a 2 week pass. This is what the itinerary looks like for now but changeable...

Day 1- Narita Airport to Hotel in Ginza
Day 2- Explore
Day 3- Explore
Day 4- Explore
Day 5- Travel to Shizuoka
Day 6- Travel to Kyoto
Day 7- Explore Kyoto
Day 8- Travel to Osaka
Day 9- Travel back to Tokyo
Day 10- Explore Tokyo
Day 11- Hotel in Ginza to Narita

What do you think?

Hi there,

I think unless you intend to take day trips out of Tokyo (for example to Nikko) I recommend you take a 7 day Japan Rail Pass to start on day 5. In addition you should purchase the [Suica N'EX combined ticket from Narita] on arrival to give you some free travel on the metro around Tokyo.

Hope this helps!
