I understand that the JR rail pass can only be purchased in advance of the trip from outside Japan and is then exchanged for the rail pass itself once in Japan but still has restrictions.
Can I bay a pass for 10 days or does it have to be 7 or 14?
Arrive Tokyo Narita - Depart Kagoshima - will the JR rail pass work or function from Narita airport to central Tokyo and then vis Kyoto to Oita and then on to Kagoshima or are some of those trains/train lines restricted?

Hi there,
The JR Pass is available for a period of 7,14 or 21 days, there's no 10 day pass unfortunately.
The JR Pass will cover travel between all the cities you visit, like Kagoshima, Oita and between Narita Airport - Tokyo.
