Hello I am flying from Narita in October and will be staying in Tenoji ward for the first 5 days then to tokyo for the next 5 days and back to Narita airport. From the airport to tenoji ward it will cost me 17,000 yen approximately. Should I activate my 7 day jr pass immediately or would be better if or buy the 14 day jr pass.

Hi there,
The best value for your pass when used for travel from Tokyo - Tenoji (I assume this is Tenoji in Osaka?) and then back to Tokyo, within the 7-day validity period.
