I will be in Japan from August 1-8. Will the JR Pass cover my entire trip? I will be arriving late afternoon on the 1st, and will be leaving early morning on the 8th. Will this cover the trip to and from Narita airport to our hotel and back?

Will a one week pass cover the bullet train ride from Tokyo-Kyoto-Tokyo? Is it worth getting this pass?

Hi there,

The cost of a 7 day JR Pass is about the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen. With a 7 day JR Pass you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price and the bullet train between Tokyo - Kyoto is included.

The JR Pass is definitely worth getting, as it also covers local JR lines in Tokyo/Kyoto and also travel to/from the airport.

Hope this helps,
