Hi there,

We are a group of 6 adults and flying arriving by plane into Osaka on 30 June. We plan to go to Kyoto on 3 July, then to Tokyo 5 July and flying out of Tokyo 8 July morning.

This gives us 9 days in Japan.

Is it worthwhile buying a Green Car Japan Rail Pass for this travel?

Please advise!

Hi there,

For your travel I would suggest buying normal rail tickets. A JR Pass is a good option if you make a return Tokyo - Kyoto/Osaka. You will however be travelling one way and its more economic to buy a normal ticket for this route.

A JR Pass however could be worth it if you add a bit more travel, think of a day trip to Hiroshima for instance.

Hope this helps,
