Just want to double check if I should get Nationwide pass or Kansai pass or none?

27Nov (sun) – Day 1
Arrive Haneda 0600
Activate Nationwide JR Pass
Travel to Kyoto
Buy ICOCA Cards and top them up?
Stay Kyoto

28Nov (mon) – Day 2

Travel to Osaka from Kyoto (30mins train ride)

Get the Osaka city version of the Kaiyu Ticket. Visit the aquarium in the morning, then head over to Osaka Castle.

Hi there,

I recommend getting a 7 day JR Pass for day 1-7 and use normal tickets for the remaining days in Tokyo. The cost of a 7 day JR Pass is about the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen bullet trains. Any additionally travel you do, will only add to your savings.
