We will be traveling in Japan June 16-24. We plan on sightseeing in Tokyo the 16th-18th, being in Yokohama for business/sightseeing the 19th-21st, and then traveling to Kyoto on the 21st until we leave Narita on the 24th. Is it recommended to get the 7 day JR Pass only or JR Pass and Suica? Plan on using N'ex discount to travel in to Tokyo after arriving at Narita on the 16th. Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi there,

Looking at the route you plan to travel, I do think that a 7 day JR Pass could be useful! If you would use it from the 18th - 24th, than you would cover all of your otherwise expansive travel and make some good savings on the way as well. The 7 day JR Pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket on the Shinkansen Tokyo - Kyoto, now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price. You can also use it for travel within Yokohama / Tokyo in addition for travel back to Narita Airport.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
