JR Pass for Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto-Himeji

Hello there! We'll be traveling to Japan on April 2-8. I'm torn between getting the JR Pass or just using combination of regional passes.

Our itinerary are as follows:

Apr 2 - Tokyo (flight arrives 2:30PM)
Apr 3 - Tokyo
Apr 4 - Tokyo
Apr 5 - Travel to Osaka + Himeji
Apr 6 - Osaka + Kyoto
Apr 7 - Osaka + Kyoto
Apr 8 - Osaka (morning flight back home)

Obviously, our accommodation in Kansai is in Osaka, we'll make daytrips to Kyoto and Himeji. I believe we don't have much to see in Osaka that piques our curiosity as much as their food and dining experienece. We'll go back to Osaka for dinner and nightlife during the dates we'll be visiting.

Is getting JR Pass worth it? Thank you so much for your valuable input!
