Hi Everyone,

We are 2 people, traveling to the following destinations :

Tokyo (4 days)
Nikko (2 days)
Kyoto (4 days)
Osaka (Final destination)

Does it make sense to pre-purchase any kind of JR pass for the both of us ? or should we just land in Japan and order the tickets to our designated destination per travel.

Thanks for the help.

Hi there,

I think it would make more sense here to buy normal rail tickets. A JR Pass would have been a very good option if used for a return to Tokyo, however now rail tickets will cost slightly less.

For travel to Tokyo, look at a discounted Tokyo - Nikko Pass.

Hope you find this useful,
