I just wanted to know if it is possible to cover the Fuji five lakes, Hakone and Fuji Q Highland theme park in a single day. I can leave from Tokyo in the morning from the time the trains start operating and have no problem in getting back by late night. Also, what should be the ideal itinerary and route to visit these places starting from Edogawa Ku in Tokyo?

Hi Abhishek,

While I think you could do it but I am not sure if it would be worth it. Hakone is very nice and I would take at least one day to really appreciate it.

The same goes for Fuji Q Highlands and the closeby Kawaguchiko. The fastest way is to take a Shinkansen to Odawara, for travel to FujiQ, use an express bus from Tokyo.

Hope this helps,
