Aloha!

I'd take a 7 day JR Pass for your trip and use it to visit Kyoto, Osaka and make a day trip from Tokyo to either Hakone or Nikko.

You could make the following savings this way:

Tokyo - Kyoto ¥ 13,420
Kyoto - Nara ¥ 690
Nara - Kyoto ¥ 690
Kyoto - Osaka ¥ 540
Osaka - Tokyo ¥ 13,950
Tokyo - Nikko ¥ 5,630
Nikko - Tokyo ¥ 5,630
And much more!

This adds up to about ¥ 40,550 or ¥ 12,250 in savings and this is only a start you can also use the JR Pass for local travel within Tokyo and Osaka but also for other things such as travel back to Narita Airport or a visit to Arashiyama in Kyoto.

I would also recommend changing your visit to Disneyland to a week day, this way you can skip on the crowds and enjoy the park even better.

Some other cool tips:
When in Osaka, swing by Shinsekai it is a neighborhood build before the second World War with an image of what the future would look like, after the war however it was not developed any further. Now it has an old fashioned futuristic atmosphere (I know, it sounds strange), but it's pretty interesting and well worth a visit!

When you are in Tokyo:
Call me a little nostalgic but consider changing a visit to the Skytree with Tokyo Tower. Yes the Skytree is higher but Tokyo Tower has a lot more history behind it and the view is amazing. During a clear day you can see Fuji on one side and look out over Tokyo Bay on the other side. It is also amazing after dark.
Further more, I would recommend a visit to Asakusa, the local temple (and food) is not to be missed!

Hope this helps!
Daniel

Hi again,

Great update! Also the [Suica + N'EX] is something you can't go wrong on! I guess you may already know what it is but in case you don't: it is a discounted ticket for the Narita Express and a preloaded Suica travel card which you can use to pay for your local transport in Tokyo.

Have a great trip and let me know if I can assist with anything else!
Daniel
