Hello,
My husband and I are arriving in Tokyo on March 28th and would appreciate your advice regarding Japan Rail Pass. Our itinerary looks as follows:
March 28 - Tokyo Haneda
March 29 - Tokyo
March 30 - Tokyo Nikka day trip
March 31 - Hakone
April 1 - Hakone
April 2 - Kyoto
April 3 - Kyoto Nara day trip
April 4 - Ishigaki (from Osaka)
April 5 - Ishigaki
April 6 - Ishigaki
April 7 - Ishigaki
April 8 - flight to Tokyo
April 9 - Tokyo
April 10 - Tokyo
April 11 - flight from Haneda

We are considering purchasing the rail pass for the first 7 days and day ticket once we are back from Ishigaki.

Many thanks!
D.

Hello there,

I checked your itinerary to see if a JR Pass would be of use. For this itinerary however, I'd suggest buying normal tickets. A 7 day JR Pass works great if you make a return Tokyo - Osaka for instance. However now normal tickets are below the price of a normal.

Ishigaki is amazing btw!

Happy travels,
Daniel
