We are going to spend two weeks in Hokkaido and east Honshu (from Aomori to Tokyo). We are thinking about a JR East-Hokkaido South pass for 6 days, to go from Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station to Aomori. After the first 6 days, we would buy a JR East pass for 5 days. Which of the two passes includes the Shirakami Resort Train? Is it a good combination 6+5?
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
Both passes would include the Shirakami Resort Train. The JR East-Hokkaido South pass will work well if you go up using the JR East Shinkansen.
I can't comment directly on the JR East pass as I do not know what trips you will be using it for, but if you do plan to use it daily, then it should be good.
Kind regards,
Daniel
