Hi, I would like to know whether I am correct in seeing that the above mentioned pass will be able to cover a trip of 7 days that goes from Tokyo-Osaka/Kyoto back to Tokyo. I would have to buy a separate ticket to be able to Hiroshima right? And is (check-in) luggage also covered with this pass or would I need a supplement for that? And last question to be sure, the pass always for unlimited travel right? Many thanks for your help!

Hi there,
Yes, that is correct. You can indeed also bring normal luggage on the train.
The pass provides unlimited travel, within the validity area, during your selected travel window.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
