Dear JR-pass,
I'm in doubt whether to purchase a 7-day pass or a 14-day pass and hope you can help me. Our itinerary is as follows (two adults and one 7-year old):
Arrival Osaka (2 night stay)
Airport Osaka to city centre
Travel to Nara (2 night stay)
Travel to Kyoto (3 night stay)
Travel to Hakone (2 night stay)
Travel to Tokyo (4 night stay)
City centre to Tokyo airport
What can you recommend?

Hi Bonny,
Overall you won't spend that much money on transport in Japan. Your expensive travel is limited to the one way Kyoto - Hakone, all other transport is relatively local.
As such, my advice would be to buy normal tickets for your trip.
