Understanding the JR Pass

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have the following itinerary and I am trying to make sense of the JR Pass that I need to acquire, as well as understand what other trains/buses I need to take that are not included. I have seen the JR Pass map but I am not certain that I understand it completely. As such, can you please let me know for which of the following places does the JR Pass help me travel:

My itinerary
7-8/7 Tokyo
9/7 Gotemba
10/7 Matsumoto
11/7 Takayama
12/7 Shirakawa-go (from what I understand JR Pass does not reach this)
13-14/7 Kyoto
14-15/7 Koyasan (from what I understand JR Pass does not reach this)
15-17/7 Kyoto
17/7 Hirosima
18/7 Tokyo

Are all the places reachable by JR Pass except Shirakawa-go and Koyasan? Am I understanding this correctly. Please let me know because I am a bit confused.

Hi Markos,

Yes, all these places can be reached using the JR Pass.

As you already mention, this excludes the bus to Shikarawago and last part to Koya-san, using the Nankai Railway.
