Hi Daniel we are visiting Japan arriving at Haneda airport at 00.30hrs. Will we be able to get public transport to Tokyo staying in the Chuo-Ku-Ginza area?
We will be staying in Tokyo for a few days and then travel for the next 2 weeks to the following destinations:
Tokyo to Hakone
Hakone to Hiroshima
Hiroshima to Kyoto
Kyoto to Takayama
Takayama to Kanazawa
Kanazawa to Tokyo
I should be grateful if you would please advise which pass to buy and also which train stations and line to use to the various destinations.
Would a JRPass cover the above?
Thank you in anticipation for your kind help.

Hi there,
Public transport in Japan shuts down around midnight and it would be hard to get to Ginza. That said, there are a very few night buses going into Tokyo from Haneda Airport. You can find more about them here:

For the JR Pass, I can say 100% for sure that a 14 day JR Pass is the best option to go for. It covers travel to all you cities you want to visit and will make very good savings at the same time. In general, the station name is the same as the city. E.g. Kanazawa is Kanazawa station, Hiroshima station and so on.
Finally a bit of general advice, For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.
Hope this helps :)
Daniel
