Hello again,
Just seeking your advice on using a JR pass for our trip in October with our 5 month old baby. Our itinerary is as follows so far;
18/10- 23/10 - Arrive at Narita airport at 7pm. Stay in Tokyo for 5 nights.
23/10-26/10 - Tokyo to Osaka. 3 nights Osaka.
26/10-29/10 - Osaka to Kyoto. 3 nights in Kyoto.
We have 2 more nights to book between Kyoto and Tokyo. Where would you recommend stopping using the JR pass on the way back to Tokyo?
We depart Narita airport at 8:30pm on the 01/11.
We were thinking of taking a day trip to Nara. Are we best to travel from Osaka or Kyoto? Is the travel to Nara included in the JR pass? Are there any other day trips from Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto that we should do?
Are we best to purchase our travel tickets separately or purchase a JR pass? If a JR pass is more economical, do we get the 7 day pass, and at what point do we activate it to get the best use of the JR pass?
Since we don't have airport/hotel shuttles to and from the airport, what is the current price for the Narita express one way for an adult? Or can we incorporate the JR pass in our airport travel?
Our baby is 5 months old, do we require a JR pass for him?
Thank you in advance
