Hello,

We will be traveling around Japan for about 11 days. We will travel from Tokyo to Kyoto to Osaka and then back to Tokyo.

Which pass do you recommend for this kind of itinerary? And does the JR pass cover all the lines between these places?

Thank you!

Hi there,

Yes, the JR Pass would cover all travel between these cities. You can even use the Bullet train for each trip!

The best match would be to use a 7 day JR Pass and use it to make your trip to Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo before it expires. Then buy normal tickets or local passes for the remaining days in Tokyo.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
