Hi,

Can you please share with me the best way to get around Japan based on the following:

Day 1 - arrive Tokyo and staying downtown.
Day 2 - explore Tokyo
Day 3 - train from Tokyo to Nikko and back to Tokyo
Day 4 - explore Tokyo
Day 5 - train from Tokyo to Komakura and back to Tokyo
Day 6 - depart to Hakone and sleep there
Day 7 - explore Hakone
Day 8 - train from Hakone to Kyoto
Day 9 - explore Kyoto
Day 10 - train from Kyoto to Nara and back to Kyoto
Day 11 - train from Kyoto to airport in Osaka (KIX)

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon,

For your travel I would look at buying normal rail tickets and perhaps look at local passes. A JR Pass would have been useful if you made a return Tokyo - Osaka but just travel one way.

For local passes look at: All Nikko Area Pass for Nikko and a Hakone Free Pass for around Tokyo.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
