We are planning a visit the end of October & early November for 11 days. On our itinerary is Tokyo, Mt. Fuji area- Lake Kawaguchiko , Karuizawa, Shosenkyo Gorge & then one way to Kyoto. Would a 7 day JR pass or a Tokyo wide pass & a one way ticket to Kyoto be advisable? Thanks so much.

Hi there,
You can look at using a Tokyo wide pass to Mt. Fuji, Karuizawa and so, then buy a one way ticket to Tokyo. This would be the most cost efficient option as I can see.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
