Sorry Daniel!
My husband and I are going to be in Japan from the 3rd of July till the 22nd and we
Will arrive in Narita airport.
Then we will be near Tokyo (Kawasaki-shi) for 5 days,(from Kawasaki-shi we are going to visit the neighborhood of Tokyo) then we are going to kawaguchiko for a couple of days to climb the Mt. Fuji and then from there we where thinking to move to Kyoto where we will stay for 4 days
Then Osaka and we will be going to hiroshima a couple of days each one.
After hiroshima we have to go back to Tokyo because our flight will be leaving on the 22nd of July to go back home.
Do you suggest us to take a Jr pass?
If so which one?
Is the pass valid also on busses and metro?
Thank you so much in advance for your suggestions.
Best regards
Donatella

Hi Donatella,

I think a 7 day JR Pass would be a good option, if you would use it for travel to Kyoto, Hiroshima and back to Tokyo. It would be very cost efficient.

The JR Pass is valid on local JR buses but not buses run by other companies or the metro/subway systems.

Hope this helps :)
Daniel
