Hi

We need to sort out our pass ahead of our trip to Japan for the rugby.
Just need to decide on 2 things - Green Class or Ordinary plus which dates should we book the 7 day pass for or do we need a 14 day pass.

11th Oct - Arrive Narita
12th Oct - Headed to and from Yokohama for match
13th Oct - Staying in Tokyo
14th Oct -Head to Fuji
Then on to Kyoto / Hiroshima and arriving in Fukuoka on 19th Oct (to and from Oita for matches)
21st Oct - Head to Osaka where we won't be doing any more travelling.

So do we book pass from 15th October and pay individually to get to Fuji (as some local transport needed anyway)
Or do we book from 14th October and pay to get to Osaka as I think pass will have ended by time we need to go on 21st
Or do we book 14 day pass to cover everything?

Thanks

Hi there,

Travel to Kyoto, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Oita and to Osaka is what will cost the most by far and I think using a 7-day JR Pass for this trip is the best option. They are also quite long trip and with that in mind, I think using a Green Class ticket is worth considering.

Yokohama and Fuji are both relatively close to Tokyo and you'd be fine buying local tickets to visit them.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
