Me, my wife, son (12 yrs old) will be visiting Japan with ff itinerary
Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, and possibly Sapporo. We are arriving Osaka on the June4th and leave Japan possibly on the 15th. Would you recommend buying the rail pass or just purchase a one way ticket? I am looking at an economical option. My son is interested in riding the bullet train mainly from Osaka to Tokyo. As for the Tokyo Saporro portion of the journey, I have not finalized this part of itinerary. Plz advise. Thank you

Hi there,

It will depend on if you go to Sapporo (or not). If you only go one way Osaka -> Tokyo, then using a JR Pass not economic. Add a visit to Sapporo and things change a lot!

Let me know when you have a more final itinerary and it will be easier for me to say for sure.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
