Hi,

Is it better for me to get a JR pass for my 7days trip? Here is my itinerary:

April 29: Arrive at Kansai airport and go straight to Kyoto.
Stay in Kyoto for 3 days, may make a day trip to Osaka.

May 02: Leave Kyoto to Tokyo. Stay in Tokyo 4 days.

May 06: Going to Narita Airport to fly back.

Can I use JR pass to travel around in Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo?

Thank you

Hi there,

I recommend buying normal tickets for your trip. A Japan Rail Pass would be good if used for a return Tokyo - Kyoto but you basically travel one way.

You can look at using a Kansai Area Pass for travel around Kansai (Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe etc) and then buy a one way ticket to Tokyo.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
