Need advise on the cost effective transportation

Hi, we plan to visit Japan on the next January. Here is my itenarary:
Day 1: Narita -Tokyo
Day 2: explore Tokyo
Day 3: Mt. Fuji Lake kawaguchiko
Day 5: Tokyo - Gala Yuzawa
Day 6: Tokyo - Osaka
Day 7: Osaka - Shirakawago
Day 8: back home

Need your advise on the transportation pass that woul be the most cost effective for our journey.

Hi there,

You say back home on the 8th but could you tell me where you are flying from? The best use of a JR Pass could depend on this.

In that case I would use a 7 day Japan Rail Pass from Day 1 to Day 7.
