We are a family of 3 and will be using Kyoto initally as our home base. We plan on taking day trips to the following and would like to know if JR pass would be would be reasonable or not.
Day 1 - Osaka
Day 2 - Fukui
Day 3 - Kanazawa
Day 4 - Himeji
Day 5 - Fukuoka
From there we will spend our time in Tokyo as our home base:
Day 6 Kyoto to Tokyo
Day 7 yokahama
Day 8 Shizuoka
Day 9 Asakusa
