My party of three will be traveling from March 15 to March 28.
March 15, arrive at Narita, travel to Tokyo
March 19, travel to Lake Kawaguchi (Mt. Fuji)
March 21, travel to Kyoto
March 25, travel to Osaka
March 27, travel to Tokyo
March 28, depart Narita
I would appreciate your input on with rail passes I should purchase.

Given your itinerary, the best option would be a 7-day Nationwide JR Pass valid from 21 to 27 March.
Please note that there is no exchange office at Otsuki Station (the nearest JR station to Lake Kawaguchi). Therefore, please ensure you exchange your voucher at a major JR station upon arrival and set your start date for 21 March. For the rest of your journey, you can simply purchase individual tickets as you go.
