I am in Japan for 4 weeks in October 2019. I am going from Tokyo to Kyoto to Kobe to Osaka to Kumano Kodo (Tanabe City) to Fukuoka to Hiroshima to Tokyo. Are all these intercity transfers covered on the JR pass? Will I need extra tickets?

Separately, can I ask if it is possible to buy 2 passes one for 21 days and one for 21 days to cover the whole trip?

Hi there,

Yes, you can travel to all these cities using the Japan Rail Pass.

You can get more than 1 Japan Rail Pass if you wish so :)

I don't know why but reading that you plan to hike to Kamano Kodo makes me want to go back there too.

Enjoy your trip!
Daniel
