Hello, my husband and I will be visiting Japan in September and are planning the following itinerary:

Haneda --> Tokyo Station (monorail)
Tokyo --> Kanazawa
Kanasawa --> Takayama
Takayama --> Tokyo (via Nagoya)
Tokyo Dome area --> Haneda (subway + monorail)

We may also use the trains and subway locally while we are in Tokyo (total 6 nights).

I'm not sure it makes sense for us to purchase the pass? Could you please advise? Thank you!

Hi there,

Based on your itinerary, here are three travel options to consider:

1) Individual Tickets: This option offers the most flexibility for your travel days.
2) Takayama Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass: This 5-day pass is a good choice for travel in the Takayama, Osaka, and Kyoto regions. However, it does not cover the journey between Tokyo and Kanazawa.
3) Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass: This 7-day pass covers your journey from Tokyo to Kanazawa and then to Kyoto or Osaka. Please note that it does not cover the direct Tokaido Shinkansen line (between Tokyo and Nagoya).

For travel in the Tokyo area, you can use IC cards like the Welcome Suica.

I hope this helps you plan your journey!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
