I arrive in Tokyo on 26 September 2018 - stay for 6 nights and get a 21 Day Japan Rail Pass to be activated on 2 October.
My itinerary for using Pass is:
Kyoto - Khaosan - Hiroshima - Miyajima - Kanazawa - Takayama - Japan Alpine Route - Matsumoto - Nagano - Nikko - Tokyo
Not sure if I will be able to visit Nagoya logistically with the Pass.
Could you please critique my route for viability and costing?
Hi there,
You'll do plenty of travel and the JR Pass will help you make good sacings. If you would want to include a visit to Nagoya, you could do it either from Takayama or Matsumoto without too much hassle.
Your trip looks great and you should have plenty of time in each city with 21 days to travel.
