Day 1 We will fly into Narita on the night of the 30th and stay in Narita..
Day 2 From airport station at Narita airport go to Kawaguchiko - one night in Kawaguchiko ( START 7 Day pass here)
Day 3 Kawaguchiko to Kyoto - 4 nights in Kyoto
On one of the days in Kyoto a possible day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima ( is this feasible??)
Day 7- Kyoto to Tokyo( staying in the Shinjuku station area) one night
Day 8- Tokyo back to Narita airport for departure

Also, we have to wait for 3 months in advance to buy the JR pass if you think it is worth it, Correct?

Thanks for all of the help.

Hi there,

A 7 day JR Pass well certainly be worth it if you visit Hiroshima. I would do this as a day trip from Kyoto. Perhaps on day 6. It does take 2-3 hours by train to get there, so leave early. Aim to be on the train around 7 am. Most tourist places close around 5pm, so you'll want to max of your time there. After dark you can enjoy some of the local food and then take a late Shinkansen back to Kyoto.

The JR Pass can indeed be purchased, starting 3 months in advance of your trip.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
