Hello,
I am planning to travel to Kanazawa / Osaka ( from Tokyo) on the same day after i touch down from Narita Airport using the JR Pass in February 2020.
Question is:
What is the chances of getting a reserved seat on the same day as i wouldn't want to stand for the long journey with a toddler.
Any advice?

Trains rarely sell out and Feb is low season, I'd think you'd be near guaranteed of finding a seat.
