Hiya and thank you in advance for all your help.

My mate and I will be travelling to Japan for just under 2 weeks. Plan is as follows:

Osaka 26th-30th Oct
Tokyo 30th- 2nd Nov
Nagayama - Noda 2nd- 4th Nov (back and forth between the 2 every day)
Noda - Kamakura - day trip 5th of Nov
Kamakura - Nagoya - Kyoto - day trip 6th of Nov
Kyoto - Osaka 9th of Nov

From reading the previous posts, it seems like the best option, financially, would be to buy individual tickets for all of it, is that correct? Either that or add the Takayama-Hokuriku Area Pass? The Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass also looks good but it doesn't cover Nagoya/Kamakura.

I feel like the more I look, the more confused I get so I reallyyy appreciate your help :).

Many thanks,
reenie

Hi Reenie,

Individual Shinkansen tickets and a local IC card would be the most cost-effective choice for your trip. A regional pass is not suitable here as your journey covers multiple different regions that are not included in a single pass.

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
