Hello. I will be making a 14 day trip to Japan with my mother and my daughter. I will be landing in Haneda Airport, will be staying in Tokyo for 4 nights, and then in Kyoto for 3 days ( including a day trip to Nara) and will then head to Osaka for 3 days ( including 1 full day at universal studio). And then want to visit Disney land for 2 days and then catch our flight from Narita Airport from there. I would really appreciate your help if someone can guide me with these things: 1) whether this route is ok or not? If not, can someone guide me with this?
2) what JR pass should I buy? 3) should I include other cities too in my itinerary and whether the daysthat i plan to spend in each city ok/less/ more?

All the help, guidance and suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Thank you
Sheleza

Hi Sheleza,

1.) Yes, it looks like a good route to me, it's a popular route for first time Japan visitors.

2.) I recommend using a 7 Day JR Pass for travel to Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo. These are the routes that would cost the most without the JR Pass.

3.) This is a personal question, it depends on what you are interested in and what sights to want to visit in each city. I do think it is a good balance as it is.

Hope this helps :)
Daniel
