Hi,

I'm planning my trip for October and I'm alittle overwhelmed with what I need.

I will arrive at NARITA AIPRORT then I'm hoping to catch the Narita express to Tokyo then TOYKO to OSAKA.

From my understanding, buying the pass would mean I won't need to buy a pass for Narita express? Will I be able to use the JR PASS to catch the train?

I then intend on travelling from OSAKA to KYOTO and OSAKA to HIROSHIMA and OSAKA to TOYKO using the pass. Would all these trips be using the same pass?

Also I was hoping to get the 7 day pass as I'd activate it on October 17 to October 23. Will I be able to use it on the 7th day?

Hello Helen,

I remember my first time in Japan, it was like walking into the Matrix. At the same time, you get accustomed to it very quickly and travel will feel natural.

The JR Pass does include the Narita Express, as well as the bullet train to Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima.

Each pass is counted in consecutive days, starting the JR Pass on the 17th would mean that the last day of travel is on the 23rd, this will expire at midnight.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for you response.

Is there a point in getting the JR Pass or is it more worth while for me to buy it each day?

My itinerary is:

17 October: Tokyo to Osaka
19 October: Osaka to Hiroshima
20 October: Osaka to Kyoto
23 October: Kobe to To Tokyo
