Hello. My friend and I will arrive on 12/11/26 at Narita airport. First night there, then carry on to Asakusa 13/11-18/11. Then 19/11-20/11 staying in Fujijoshida. Then in Kanazawa until 23/11 with a stop in Takayama. From there 3 days Kyoto until 27/11 , from there to Hiroshima on the 28/11( with a day trip to Miyajima.). Then to Osaka 29/11 with a stop at Himejii and back to Germany from there on 2/12/26.
which passes could we use , we are both over 60 yrs and a little bit confused.
Looking forward to you’re answer and thanking you very much in advance.

Hi Andrea and Anja,

In terms of ticketing and travel costs, my recommendation would be to buy normal train ticket as you travel, all the way until you reach Kyoto.

Then once you go to Hiroshima, use a Kansai Area Pass - Hiroshima for travel to Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Himeji. You can also use this to travel to Kansai Airport (KIX), assuming you return home from there.

This pass also includes the JR ferry to Miyajima.

I hope this helps!
Daniel
