Hello. I wonder do I need a 14D pass for my trip and am I over ambitious with the itinerary.

D1 - Osaka
D2 - Osaka - Himeji - Osaka
D3 - Osaka - Hiroshima - Miyajima - Hiroshima
D4 - Hiroshima - Kyoto
D5 - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto
D6 - Kyoto - Kanazawa
D7 - Kanazawa - Kusatsu
D8 - Kusatsu - Tokyo
D9 - Tokyo - Ibaraki
D10 - Ibaraki - Tokyo
D11 - D13 - Tokyo

Or is there an alternative itinerary or pass I should go for?

Thanks.

Hi there,

I think a better option would be to get a Kansai - Hiroshima Area Pass, use that for travel around Kansai, to Hiroshima and it will even cover your fare to Kanazawa up to Tsuruga.

Then buy normal rail tickets for the rest of the trip. If you want to save some money, consider a highway bus between Kusatsu and Tokyo.

Kind regards,
Daniel
