We will land in Tokyo may 15 2020 and will stay for 4 nights. then our travel itinerary will be fujikawaguchio for 2 nights then bus and train to matsumoto to visit castle for few hours, train to kanazawa (2) nights bus to takayama through Shirakawa-go (2) nights, train to Kurashiki (2) nights, Hiroshima(2) nights with visit to miyajima, then Himijii for few hours and finally Kyoto(4) nights and fly out of kansai. What pass or passes would be best for us for the longer travel and where else could we make use of the passes for sightseeing in cities or surrounding areas. I know I could travel to takayama from matsumoto but I thought the train to kanazawa would be more scenic as would the hida wide train through Nagoya. Any comments, alterations or additions are greatly appreciated.
Best travel pass
Hi there,
I checked your itinerary but must say it is hard to match a JR Pass to your trip. A 7-day JR Pass would have been great if you did Travel to Matsumoto - Kanazawa - Hiroshima - Kyoto within 7-days. However you take 9 on this route. At the same time a 14 day JR Pass would need a bit more travel to be cost efficient.
Kind regards,
Daniel
