Best JR pass for us

Hi,

My husband and I will be arriving in Fukuoka on 31/12/25 and spending 2 nights there.
on

2/1/26 - from Hakata to Osaka
2/1/26 - from Osaka to Kanazawa, followed with bus from Kanazawa to Shirakawago (already booked the bus)
3/1/26 - from Kanazawa back to Osaka
6/1/26 - from Osaka to Hakone
7/1/26 - from Hakone to Shinjuku

Can you please recommend the best JR Pass for us? and also the price?

We will be travelling with 2 other adults but they will not be going to Kanazawa - I wonder if it is still worth buying JR pass for them.

Hi there,

For you and your husband, the 7-day JR Pass would be the best option. For the other two adults, while the pass offers convenience, they may find it more beneficial to purchase individual tickets for a cost-effective solution.
