I just bought 2 JR passes for an 8 day trip and was wondering if it would be worth it. Also, should I get any regional passes (Kansai area)?
3/23 Arrive in NRT. We're planning to go to Osaka straight from NRT.
3/23-3/25 Osaka
3/25-3/27 Kyoto and Nara
3/27 Kyoto to Kobe
3/27-3/30 Kobe to Tokyo
3/30-Tokyo to NRT

The Japan Rail Pass covers travel between all the cities you visit, so no further regional passes would be needed :)
