I'm planning my Japan trip and I was wondering if you could check my itinerary to see whether or not I would need to buy the 14 or 21 day pass.
Tokyo 4th - 8th
Hakone 8th - 9th
Shimoda 9th - 11th
Mount Fuji 11th - 12th
Kyoto 12th - 15th
Osaka 15th - 18th
Tokyo 18th - 20th

Hi there,
You could look at using a 7 day Japan Rail Pass for travel to Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo. These are the parts that cost the most and where a JR Pass would be cost effecient.
For travel to Hakone and around Izu, look at using a Hakone Free Pass.
