Hi Daniel-San,

My husband and I are trying to figure out what passes are better for us. We arrive Narita airport the 27th. Heading to tokyo from there.

We plan to do Tokyo and Yokohama areas a couple days after we arrive
Then head to Osaka and check out Nagoya-Gifu-Nara-Kyoto-Kobe-Hyogo areas
Then we will head over to Yukosuka a couple days
Then back to Tokyo and from there we want to also hopefully check out areas all the way up to Aomori
We want to try to go to Lake Kawaguchiko North Coast area as well

Would the 14 day pass be a better deal for us?
Thanks

Hello there,

Yes, you'll travel a lot and a 14 day JR Pass will help you make good savings. The added trip to Aomori especially would be costly without a pass.

You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
